January 2001
Better late than never,
apparently is the motto of The Committee. Actually, we just couldn't find
them until we checked the drunk tank of the Ames, Iowa county jail. Seems
they imbibed just a little too much while welcoming in the New Millennium.
Couldn't blame them too much, they've had a tough year.
But, as a toast to the
New Year, the Committee at copcar dot com brings you the babies:
copcar
dot com presents: Baby
LTD's

With a
star bigger than the car, the Azusa, CA, Police decked out this baby.

Meanwhile
on the other coast, the Florida Highway Patrol was in love with the mini-Fords because
of their get up and go.

The
whole back of the LTD was tail lamp. But out of all that room for lamps,
only about 1% was devoted to the back-up lamps. So the Forest Grove, OR,
Police added their own back up lamp to the bumper. Guaranteed to blind
even the heartiest of drivers.

One spot
light on the driver's side pillar wasn't enough for Palo Alto, they had to deck
out their Baby LTD with a roof mounted spot light, too.

San Luis
Obispo CA, Police ran this LTD with a slick top

Vale, OR, Police had a fairly elaborate
paint scheme for their LTD's but they were still using the old Federal Visi-bar
lights from the 70's.
This LTD in the traditional colors of the
New Hampshire State Police included bumper and windshield mounted lights.
Washington State Patrol's baby LTD sits next to its big
brother, the full size LTD.
