Remembering 9-11-01.
We will not forget!

April 2002

Everybody has one of them.  A friend, relative or in-law that you just don't mention.  Heck, we've even had them show up here at copcar.  You know, the type of guy you won't own up to knowing even after days of Chinese water torture.    Okay, for those that  won't admit it, we are bringing you Bill.

copcar dot com presents:   "Bill's Highway Cruiser"

Bill's got himself a Highway Cruiser.  Big old "police package" Ford LTD.  No doubt a 429cj in that puppy, ready to jump into action and chase down the most ruthless speeders.  Bill spends his days hiding just off the main street of small town America.  As he waits patiently in his unmarked highway cruiser for the next speeder to slide by, he stays in constant contact with patrols in outer space.

Sometimes, Bill gets a little crazy with the duct tape and glue.  It's pleasing to him to strap another duct tape-wrapped antenna to a spare fender.  This cruiser is equipped with 4 mirrors on each side, just to make it easier to spot them speeders.

Bill's traffic cruiser has got one of them OH-ficial push bars, just like the real cops.

Bill believes in giving the violator every chance to slow down.  Once he ran out of "Bob Utter" Paint shop emblems, he began to cover every square inch of the Interceptor with reflectors.

Under Bill's watchful eye, Main Street America remains safe from the traffic violator

This undercover cruiser has it all.  Bumper mounted red lights, covered in yellow spray painted duct tape for ulitmate concealment.  Convex mirrors on the push bars assure the violator being able to see the look on their own face.  But Bill gets a little crazy with the spray paint.  He likes to change up the car at a moments notice with a can of Rustoleum.  Moon pie hubcaps and sprayed on whitewalls add a touch of class to Bill's ride.

You can almost picture Bill on his off duty time, holding a reflector in one hand and a spray can in the other.  Just holding himself back and deciding on his next addition to the Highway Cruiser.

With a smile for the camera, Bill explains his long dream of being a trooper.  A Connecticut State Trooper, no doubt.  But for now, he'll have to be content with his chrome-trimmed, taxi-cab yellow Ford Interceptor Highway Cruiser, sittin' alongside the road waitin' on a violator.

Happy April Fools Day!!
