Remembering 9-11-01.
We will not forget!

April 2005

Eighteen months ago, copcar dot com was contacted by a major European auto manufacturer who was planning on unleashing a new police vehicle for the American and Canadian markets.  Their aim was to provide serious competition to Ford.  When they contacted us, it was a top-secret project.  We had to sign a contract where we swore to not divulge the project until they gave us the go ahead.  And if we could pull that off, as well as assist in the design and concept of the car, we were assured that copcar dot com could announce the production of the car.  Just copcar.  We get the first opportunity to tell the world of this car.

copcar dot com presents:     Move over Crown Vic

Cops like the Crown Victoria.  It's roomy, it's comfy, it's fast after the first 3 miles.

We were working on a major investment in the car world but we had a tall order.  We had to find a car that would appeal both to the cops who drove the car and the bean counters who would approve them for purchase.  And, at our urging, it had to appeal to the critical crowd here at copcar.  No sense having the wishers here calling it a "Whimpala" or  cracking jokes about brake fires.

copcar dot com put togehter a 6 person committee (no, not those lamers who chose copcar of the month) to assist the design team in the concept of this vehicle.  It was taxing.  Hundreds, if not thousands of hours of International calling, conferring, planning.  But it paid off.

On April 15, 2005, the first orders will be accepted for this unit.  This will be considered a 2006 model with delivery of orders scheduled to begin August 1.  A major advertising campaign will commence today, April 1, in makor police mags which will include all vehicle specs.  But for the next 10 hours, copcar is the ONLY source of this exciting news,

The Police Pursuer:

  • More powerful than a locomotive with 420 hp delivered to the RWD transmission!
  • On-demand Four-Wheel Drive option for only hundreds of dollars add-on!
  • Sleek, aerodynamic design but nothing that will shock  those who expect traditionalism.  An unbelievalbe 1970s retro look!
  • Pushbar/battering ram incorporated right in to the front end design!
  • A roof escape hatch, as an added safety feature!
  • Side-crash protection rails that conveniently can be used by SWAT to cling to the car as they ride in to an incident!
  • Black and white (or any other two-tone) paint schemes at no extra cost over a solid scheme!
  • Oh heck, there's so much more to this car but we only have 6 minutes left before April 1 begins....  so here goes....
