May 2000
Well, disaster has
been avoided. After all the hissing and booing last month over the
"Postal Jeep", The Committee basically went on strike. They
were refusing to select the copcar of the Month for May even though I
spent three weeks in negotiation. Finally, in the 13th hour, thats
right, the 13th, they agreed on a resolution. If I put them up at the
Motel 6 instead of the Ramada when they fly into Hayes, they'll stay on
track. Oh yeah, I also gotta buy them dinner each month at Chuck's
Trough & Brew. They drive a hard bargain.
So, for the month of May, The Committee has selected, in honor of
spring: Green Police Cars.
Don't know
about you, but I'm just green with envy. No pun intended (sheeeyah).

This old
Chevy Blazer was decked out with the typical bright green and white of
the San Diego County, CA, Sheriff.

1991 Caprice from the US Border Patrol in Washington State, keeping the
Free World safe from the draft dodging, God-awful Canadian horde. God
Bless America.

1983 Impala (not Caprice you Chevy guys) Orange County, Florida

When you're up to your eyeballs in Alligators, its always best to look
like one: 1986 Ford Bronco, Florida State Wildlife Officer

Not only an off the beaten path paint job, but an unusual car too! 1983
Buick in Carbon County, Wyoming

Blue oval freaks, check it out: 1994 Ford, Richland County, Wisconsin

Okay Caprice geeks, here you go. The paint job is quite unusual but, I
like it. 1990 Caprice, Calvert County, MD

And finally, one of the nicest green graphics we've ever seen:
Greenbelt, Maryland
