Remembering 9-11-01.
We will not forget!

May 2003

The Committee tries real hard.  You know they do.   The last thing I said to them before we broke up our little meeting at Merle's Corn Buffet in Hayes, Kansas was "Boys, I think we need to honor the Washington Police Memorial event that takes place in May".  Now, I figured they understood what I was talking about but you know how that goes.  I didn't notice them making that left turn out of town.  They did good, just got the wrong Washington.

Talk about an agency with an identity crisis.  The WSP goes from black and white to black to white to grey, to blue to white to black to black and white to black to white, to grey to purple.

Even I get a little dizzy.

Then they go from sedans to panels to trucks to sedans to panels to trucks to sedans to panels to sedans to convertibles.

What's great about this month, though, is that I don't have to spend the remainder of the month changing the makes and models of the cars in the descriptions after I take wild guesses on what make and year they are.

One thing I can say is that the WSP has actually stuck with the same door star for lots and lots of years.

And just look at all that equipment.  So exactly what is that big thing on the right?  A Volcano measuring device?

Our thanks to both the WSP and to Gary Hergert for the GREAT historical photographs!
