In honor of
this month's North Coast Emergency Vehicle Show, the Committee has
decided to flip you a few Ohio units. The show hosts, James Duff
and Greg Savernik, decided to put together their first event.
Faced with overwhelming odds, they ran into problems in April when the
City of Eastlake bowed out of the event because of a threatened lawsuit
by a man in Florida who was ordered not to attend because of threats he
had made. They could have just closed up shop at that point but
they instead chose to forge ahead and find a new location. The
City of Euclid stepped up to the plate and will now be the site of this
show.

Here's one of Eastlake's
Fords

But we decided to move the
city a little farther west, rename it Westlake and paint their cars to
something we liked better

Cleveland PD has the right
idea, they issue each officer a Corvette to take home.

Okay, everybody but this
guy.

And Cleveland has some
very unique ideas. This Harbor Patrol unit, for example.
When they get to the water, they merely flip it over and it becomes a
patrol boat. And in Cleveland's terrible winters, which won't be a
problem for the show, they merely put it on its side and use it as a
toboggan.

And Euclid PD, the host
agency, isn't afraid to step out there and say "We drive Intrepids
with Kojak lights".

And if the guy from FL
thinks he's getting into this show, he'd better be driving this.
(actually, this is Ft Lauderdale, FL, PD's urban assault vehicle or
battle commando or
Trojan horse or whatever they call it but I needed the joke)
