August 2002
The heat is on for August. The Committee is out at the beach and copcar
dot com was forced to pull a rabbit out of the hat for August. Besides
that, all anybody ever talks about any more is Monaco, Monaco, Monaco.
Well, copcar dot com knows a popular feature when they see one so we bring you,
what else?
copcar
dot com presents: Monaco
| Okay, so it's a 1975 Monaco. But
these Monacos belong to Sonoma County, California, Sheriff. These
are actually crime scene photographs after a minor collision.
|
| Interestingly enough, Sonoma county
painted their A-pillar spot lights the same as the vehicle's body color
but then put a chrome spot light through the roof. Note what looks
like a CHP unit in the background, left.
|
| Another minor collision. We'd
have to say that the VW driver was probably a little nervous when he/she
got stopped. Forgetting to set the brake on the hill, it probably
rolled back into the Monaco. A Santa Rosa PD unit is sitting
behind.
|
| Another angle of the scene shows the
crumpled bumper of the VW after tangling with the push bumpers on the
Monaco.
|
| Must be the investigator's unit,
complete with a fresh cup of coffee delicately balanced on the roof.

Our thanks to Trevor McGinnis for digging through the crime lab
archives... a source many people overlook in seeking old copcar pictures.
