| August reportedly
marks the month that Daimler-Chrysler will begin delivering the
new Dodge Charger to several agencies around the country in
their police package. We haven't seen an actual in-service
unit yet and it's already three days into the month. But
we did find that the Maryland State Police tested the Charger in
July. So, this month, somewhat on time, we bring
you. |

| Maryland ran the
all-black Charger as a slick-top unit on I-95. |

| You can bet that from
the front, it wasn't easy to spot. But the rear markings
left no doubt. |

| Reports from the
field, unofficially, were favorable. But it will all be up
to the bean counters. |

| We still like it
better in full police dress, though. If you would like to
see the specs sheet for the Charger, visit the Photo Archives, Vehicle
Manufacturer Brochures, under Dodge. Or, click HERE
and then click "view original". |
Thanks to
Rick Jacobi for the MSP photos. |
