Remembering 9-11-01.
We will not forget!

October 2003

We're trying to catch up.  The Committee found this excellent "memorial car" and has selected it to be the latest...  and we mean latest... copcar of the month.

copcar dot com presents:    Hero car

This is a brand new, 2,000 mile, 2001 Ford police package Crown Victoria that was purchased by a group of officers in Louisiana. Their goal was to do a memorial show car for the police heroes who fell on 9-11.

The car includes a $13,000 paint job that includes the large eagle head on the hood.  In the eye of the eagle is reflected the Statue of Liberty.

The artwork on the hood also includes white stars with each star containing the name of an officer killed in the line of duty on 9-11.  The trunk lid has a beautiful rendition of the WTC along with patches of each agency who lost an officer that day.

The Crown Vic toured the country for memorial events, including the funerals of four fallen officers.  Here' it is seen with the Baltimore PD's chopper.

And the car is now for sale.  This would make the perfect D.A.R.E. car for your department or if you are a collector, the perfect show car.  It is ready to go, fully equipped.  While the car has only 2000 miles, you would never know that.  The car was never driven except on and off trailers, in parades or funerals.  At all times, the seats and floors were covered.  No eating, smoking or drinking was allowed in the car.  This is, for all intense and purposes, a brand new car.
