Remembering 9-11-01.
We will not forget!

November 2004

For two months, we've been waiting for some big news and the chance to bring you a startling turn of events at copcar dot com.  Then, a monkey wrench.  Maybe next month.  Meanwhile, we bring you....

copcar dot com presents:    MO Mercurys

Show me the Mercs.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol was big on Mercurys.  1969 Mercury Monterey.    This unit was driven by Trooper J.A. James and carried car number 713.

In tradition, MSHP always uses different flavors of cars.  Here's a 69 Monterey on a traffic stop with a 67 Fury.

This 1972 Mercury Monterey served with the MHSP and is now owned and restored by Steve Wren of Herculaneum, MO.   Steve found this car still in possession of the Trooper who actually drove it and bought it when the car was retired.

MSHP has no qualms with driving red police cars, as is evident by this 1977 Mercury Marquis.

Just like Baskin-Robbins, MSHP has plenty of flavors, like this light blue 1981 Mercury Marquis.

Another 1981 Marquis but this unit seems to have a different shade of blue.
